Continuity of care for heart, diabetes and men's health
Dr Ufaq is a Specialist General Practitioner who grew up in the north of England and graduated from the University of Bristol in 2007. He worked in South West England for 11 years, first as a hospital doctor and then as a GP in an urban practice, after completing his GP training in Wiltshire.
He moved to Western Australia with his wife in March 2019 to work full-time as a GP. He enjoys the variety and challenge of general practice, and the reward of getting to know patients over the longer term. That kind of continuity matters most for people living with chronic disease, and it is a big part of why he does the job.
His particular interests are heart health, diabetes and men’s health, along with the ongoing care of long-term conditions. He is also interested in medical education, and in 2016 he was nominated for GP Teacher of the Year at the University of Bristol.
Dr Ufaq bills privately, and his care is shaped around each patient and what matters to them. You can read about our fees.
Away from work
In his spare time Dr Ufaq enjoys playing golf (badly, he says), loyally following his hometown football team, Burnley FC, and exploring the sights of WA on camping trips with his wife and daughter.
