Dr Henry is a specialist pain medicine physician who consults at The Village as a visiting specialist. He is dual-qualified, as a specialist in both emergency medicine and pain medicine. His training and clinical work have taken him across Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Western Australia, giving him a broad, international view of how pain is understood and treated.
His clinical focus is interventional pain management and multidisciplinary pain care. That means evidence-based treatments planned around each person, often with other health professionals working alongside him.
Dr Henry holds a public appointment as a Pain Medicine Consultant at Fiona Stanley Hospital. He has a Master’s in Clinical Education from the University of Leeds, awarded with Merit, and a strong commitment to teaching and to improving medical practice.
He has taken part in clinical research and quality improvement throughout his career. He is currently researching non-invasive neuromodulation, which looks at ways to change how nerves send pain signals without surgery or implants.
Dr Henry speaks English, Malay, Russian and Tamil.
