Thorough, holistic family GP with a love of art
Dr Ellie is a Specialist General Practitioner and the Clinical Director of The Village, which she owns and runs with her husband, Dr Stuart. She loves being a family doctor and feels it is a true privilege to journey with her patients through life. She takes pride in being thorough, and in looking at the whole person rather than one problem at a time.
Her special interests are women’s health and rheumatology, and her scope covers all areas of medicine, including the care of long-term conditions. She runs our Menopause Assessment Service, a dedicated appointment that looks at every part of your health during perimenopause and menopause.
Dr Ellie came to medicine by an unusual road. She first trained as a dentist and worked in the head and neck field before her career in medicine. She is a GP trainer and an adjunct senior clinical lecturer for Curtin University, so she is often helping to teach the doctors of the future. She speaks English and French.
Away from work
Dr Ellie spends as much time as she can with Dr Stuart and their two children. She is a frequent parkrunner and has signed up for charity challenges, including a 50 km cycle for acquired brain injury and an overnight marathon walk for Perth Children’s Hospital. She loves abstract art and paints too: many of her paintings, from highland cows to gum nuts and cavoodles, hang on our walls. Proceeds from those sold at the practice go to the Perron Institute. She also crochets, usually yet another blanket.
