A neurodevelopmental condition characterised by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with daily functioning and development. Symptoms typically emerge in childhood but may continue into adolescence and adulthood. ADHD is classified into three presentations: predominantly inattentive, predominantly hyperactive-impulsive, and combined. Diagnosed by a qualified health professional and managed through a combination of behavioural strategies, therapy, and/or medication.
