Dr Janaki Balasubramaniam

MBBS, BSc (Hons), DRCOG, MRCP, MRCGP, FRACGP

Dr Jan brings a wealth of experience to her role as a GP. Born and raised in the UK, she graduated from Imperial College London in 2003 and undertook broad-based training across some of London's most prestigious hospitals. After achieving Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, she realised her true passion lay in holistic, patient-centred care as a generalist and she undertook further training in paediatrics, psychiatry and sexual health before becoming a GP in 2009, achieving Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK).

She spent over a decade caring for diverse communities across London before relocating with her family to Perth in 2019 and being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Jan offers thoughtful, compassionate care across all areas of General Practice. She has a particular interest in chronic disease management, including heart disease and diabetes, as well as preventative health, women’s health and children’s health.

Outside of medicine, Dr Jan is a devoted mum to three kids and an active member of her local community. When she’s not exploring the WA coast with her family, you’ll find her running, cooking up a storm, or cheering from the sidelines as the secretary of her local netball club.
